Is WEM parts of LTSR program?

MBi

Question

Hello,

I see that the last 1912 version is from 2019. Is there any update for 1912 branch?

Release Date: Dec 18, 2019.

It also looks that the download link seems hidden from Citrix... difficult to find it. Why?

Is WEM parts of the LTSR program? Can I upgrade to the very last version without losing LTSR compliancy?

Thanks in advance

Workspace Environment Management is covered by the Current Releases (CR) lifecycle of Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops.

Latest version CVAD 1912 CU2 LTSRhttps://www.citrix.com/downloads/citrix-virtual-apps-and-desktops/product-software/citrix-virtual-apps-and-desktops-1912ltsr-cu2.html

You can upgrade to the latest version of CVAD 1912 CU2 without losing LTSR compliancy.

This means I can run CVAD 1912 CU2 LTSR with WEM 2012 without issues?

With out compliancy issue, Yes. WEM has shorter lifespan as it is supported under CR lifecycle.

"Current Releases will reach End of Maintenance (EOM) 6 months after the release date.  Citrix recommends customers adopt the latest Current Release. Current Releases will reach End of Life (EOL) 18 months after the release date." - https://www.citrix.com/support/product-lifecycle/milestones/citrix-virtual-apps-and-desktops.html

Hi Carl - thanks as always for your advice both here and on your website. I'm interested in trying out WEM in my 2203 CU3 LTSR environment for the first time. I know that I can install the component using the CVAD ISO on my VDA server as MBi mentions above, but as you said, there's no LTSR listed in the dropdown at  https://docs.citrix.com/en-us/workspace-environment-management/current-release/quick-start-guide.html so that means, we new WEM folks should just follow the CR instructions to set up an Infrastructure server, etc as written, and then link our LTSR VM to it?
