If you own multiple license types, then see https://docs.citrix.com/en-us/citrix-virtual-apps-desktops/manage-deployment/licensing/multi-type-licensing.html

If you own 150 "VirtualApps and Desktops" licenses, then you can use any of these licenses for either of the purposes. If you are trying to restrict the quantity of licenses for specific workloads, then there's no easy way to do that other than to build separate Citrix License servers, split your licenses across the two servers, and build separate CVAD sites/farms with each CVAD site/farm pointing to a different Citrix License Server.

Hi,

Your question is not quite clear.

First, I guess you mean if you can use 40 of those licenses as concurrent (Citrix Virtual Apps - users access desktops and apps on terminal servers) and 110 as user/device (Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops - users either access desktops and apps on terminal servers and/or VDIs all possible at the same time) - Then the answer is NO. Concurrent Citrix Virtual Apps licenses are almost twice as expensive as user/device licenses of the same featurelevel. Please note that there are also Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops concurrent licenses which are even more expensive than Citrix Virtual Apps concurrent.

Second, if you have user/device licenses it doesn't matter which resource or number of resources a user is using and if it's a published app, a published desktop or a VDI, but the license is tied to the user and checked out also if the user is not logged into in any of his resources.

Third, that being said it is possible to mix licenses of the same featurelevel. So you can have a delivery group that is using Citrix Virtual Apps Advanced and one that is using Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops Advanced. However you cannot use the same 150 user license in multiple ways, you'll need to explicitly buy for ex. 40 Citrix Virtual Apps Advanced and 110 Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops Advanced.

Regards
