Citrix PVS PXE Boot Process

Michael Erb

Hello, I have a question concerning the boot process of target devices. My infrastructure is the following:

1 subnet with PVS (PXE server disabled) and target devices, 1 DHCP Server with option 66 and 67 pointing to PVS Server and boot file and one PXE Server from another software distribution system.

As far as I understand this KB article https://support.citrix.com/article/CTX227725 I should be able to boot my target devices without an issue because they get the tftp server via dhcp options 66 and 67.

Unfortunately this is not the case. Target device gets an IP from the DHCP but seems to ignore it and is just contacting the PXE server in the subnet. As soon as I disable the pxe service, target device are booting as expected.

Is there any possibility to force the usage of dhcp options and boot the devices also when PXE service is enabled?
