After Update to CVAD 1912 LTSR CU1 user see black screen for several seconds

Question

Hi all

 

we have a CVAD environment on Server 2016 running. After upgrading from 7.15 LTSR CU5 to 1912 LTSR CU1 we discover a black screen for about 10 seconds when logging into a published desktop. I already saw this article which is from 2018 https://support.citrix.com/article/CTX235681, but this isn't helping nor is it for 1912 LTSR.

 

Does anybody having same issues with running 1912 LTSR CU1 on Server 2016 with Published Desktops?

We do two things in our environment. We delete the firewall keys in the master image and apply the following fix to user profiles (applies to 2016 as well):

We also put a small logoff script to delete the keys in addition to excluding from UPM to catch existing user profiles.

many thanks for that hints. I've had indeed a lot of Firewall-Rules on the Server, which i've cleaned now on one VDA. Also i've configured a logout script to delete HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\UFH\SHC.

 

Let's see if that helps. I will do some further testing on that.
