Impact 4k monitor on user density

Srvb Apeldoorn

Does anyone have experience with upgrading endpoints from two 1080p monitors to one 4k monitor and the impact it has on user density?

I'm aware of the https://support.citrix.com/article/CTX201696 article but i'm looking for some field experience.
Our Display memory Limit policy is already set to 65536KB.

We are currently running CVAD 1912 LTSR CU1 on VMWare 6.5 and have a mixed XenApp / XenDesktop environment.

The bulk of the users connect to a XenApp VDA, at peak moments we have around 11 users per VDA, so 90 per host.

XenApp Host:

ProLiant DL380 Gen10

2x Intel(R) Xeon(R) Gold 5120 CPU @ 2.20GHz (56 threads)

512 GB RAM

2x Tesla M10

8 VDA's per host

XenApp VDA:

7 vCPU

55 GB RAM (of which 8GB is used for PVS cache in device RAM)

M10-8A vGPU profile

Is there a "rule of thumb" formula for these situations?

Thanks for the response, we currently have 1 test endpoint configured with a 4k monitor and that seems to be working ok.

We are planning on doing a small POC but i'm waiting for the approval to order more monitors.

What i'm looking for is the impact it has on server resources. We are running 15 hosts with 120 XenApp VDA's, even with a 10% impact we need to order additional hosts.
