idle/disconnected RDS User GPO

Oliver Ollivetti

Question

Hello, I need a idle/disconnect User based setting. As we have XenApp 7.15cu5 on Server OS 2016 we can not do it via Citrix policies. So I tried it with GPO User Setting with 10 minutes which still does not work.

In Studio the session is active - time in state  - 23 minutes. Actually the session should be idle there or am I missing something.

Maybe you have some solution for me.

Thank you in Advance and regards

Citrix Studio policy to disconnect idle sessions after 30min (=1800000 milliseconds):

Computer GPO part of the policy on your Citrix servers (with loopback processing enabled) to then subsequently log off those idle sessions after an additional 3 hours (so 3.5 hours after idle):

Important note: I seem to remember from all my testing back then that the disconnect after idle setting only worked at server level, NOT on a per user basis (even if no other policies such as per server were active)

Hope that helps.
