Default Sound Device in Xenapp session

Daniel Dunn1709158952

Question

Hi We have a 1912 LTSR VDA with Server 2016 and we use CWA 2006.

When users log on, the default sound device in the Citrix session is set as the default device set on the client.

But users are now starting to use USB headsets, and the default audio device is the onboard sound card.

The problem I find is that, if they try to switch the sound device being used, it doesnt switch and they are not able to set the default sound device to be the headset in the Citrix session.

This means if they play sound from a website, it comes out of the wrong device.

Is there any way to enable switching of audio devices in a session?

It is difficult to set the default device on the client machine, as they are windows embedded thin clients in a Kiosk mode.

Thanks!
