LTSR 1912 CU1 Storefront 1 -> SF2 propagation failure

Qqqq1111

Question

Hi,

I am running 2 Delivery controllers with Storefront LTSR1912 CU1. SF propagation is failing

Server 2019 with .net 4.7

Known issue reported via citrix ( https://docs.citrix.com/en-us/storefront/1912-ltsr/known-issues.html )

" Subscription propagation between members of a StoreFront Server group fails when TLS 1.0 is disabled in Windows and Windows Server is using .NET 4.5 Framework server. By default, .NET 4.5 Framework uses TLS 1.0 only. A workaround for this issue is to upgrade .NET Framework on the server to 4.7 or later (which use TLS 1.2 by default). [STF-2413] "

The second SF was missign a heap of certificates so I have imported those and restarted. Removed all GPOs.

Cleared event logs and re ran porpagation from sf1

SF1 - Citirx Delivery Services event log reports

An error has occurred during the all server configuration update process.

Citrix.DeliveryServices.ConfigurationReplication.Exceptions.ServerUpdateConfigurationException, Citrix.DeliveryServices.ConfigurationReplication, Version=3.22.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=e8b77d454fa2a856

Parameter of type string expected.

Parameter name: configFile

RemoteEndpoint: net.tcp://ctxsf02prd/Citrix/ConfigurationReplication

net.ncp services are auto and running on both servers.

RESOLVED (updating for future searches)

Behaviour -- Ran storefront propagate from primary and failed with error log under 'Applications and Services Log - Citrix Delivery Serivces' with terms containing "

Event log contents

"An error occurred running the command:

An error occurred running the command: 'Install-DSFeatureClasses'

The feature data is out of date

At C:\Program Files\Citrix\Receiver StoreFront\Services\ConfigurationReplicationService\Cmdlets\ConfigurationReplicationServiceModule.psm1:86 char:9

+ Install-DSFeatureClass "$($installPath)$($featurePackage)"

The "Fix" was kicked off by a storefront 2.0 article believe it or not:

https://mwaler.wordpress.com/2013/08/22/storefront-2-0-replication-error/

From the article

" Solution = deleted C:\Program Files\Citrix\Receiver StoreFront\Features\WebApplication "

Step1. Deleted this folder (or rename is fine) - "C:\Program Files\Citrix\Receiver StoreFront\Features\WebApplication"

Step2. propagate from primary Store and multiple zip files started syncing to this location --"C:\Program Files\Citrix\Receiver StoreFront\Features\". Previously there were only about 3 or 4 - there should be 49 zip files

Step3. re-ran propagate and it failed again. Checked the folder location and found "C:\Program Files\Citrix\Receiver StoreFront\Features\WebApplication zip file was missing.

Step4. Manually copy 'WebApplication' from the primary to the seconday and rerun propagate - success.

Why? NFI.
