App crashes if started from within citrix remote-PC session .. but if started local and connecting later the app runs

Hello everybody,
We have a big problem using an important application from within Citrix.
The app starts without problems. But within the app there are points where the app terminates/crashes ... without a message.
This occurs when the app is started within XenApp (terminal server) and within a session with "local PC access" too.
If the app is started while the user is sitting on the PC and later connects via Citrix, the problem does not exist.

Does anyone have hints what I can check / try?

When I have issues with apps like this I try disabling the Citrix Hooks into the app - https://support.citrix.com/article/CTX107825

 

As an example, if you wanted to remove the hooks for the new Edge Chrome run this reg file:

 

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

 

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Citrix\CtxHook]

"ExcludedImageNames"="msedge.exe"

 

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Citrix\CtxHook]

"ExcludedImageNames"="msedge.exe"

 

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\CtxUvi]

"UviProcessExcludes"="LsaIso.exe;BioIso.exe;FsIso.exe;sppsvc.exe;vmsp.exe;msedge.exe;"
