We are seeing this behaviour on our Windows Server 2016 published desktops (7.15LTSRCU2) for all external users that have downloaded and installed the latest Workspace App 2006.  If you revert back to the LTSR version of the Workspace App (1912) - no issues launching the desktop.  We updated the VDA to 7.15 LTSR CU5 but there was no change in behaviour.   The desktop viewer launches, you see the whole login process, you get to the desktop, then the Desktop Viewer screen will turn grey and the session will disappear.  It is still connected and showing as active in the Director but the user cannot see the session.  The event logs and the user device show Application Error WFICA32.EXE and Faulting module path c:\windows\system32\ucrtbase.dll.  I have a case open with Citrix support but none of the 300 steps they have asked me to perform so far have fixed it!

In our case this was caused by our Riverbed appliances that provided wan optimization for Citrix traffic on port 2598.  Once we removed it, sessions launched successfully with the new Workspace App.  We were seeing errors in the event logs on the VDA right after login - The Citrix ICA Transport Driver connection from x.x.x.x:xxxxx to port 2598 received an invalid packet during it's SSL handshake phase.
