Jabra Engage 75 not ringing

Question

We use Jabra Engage 75 headsets for our Dell Wyse 5070 VDI devices. The headsets work fine, but we don't have a ring tone. The user can only hear the ringtone when the headset is on. The "secondary ringer" is still not supported for HDX Teams Optimization. How can we get a ringtone!

We are aware of this limitation , there was a bug that prevented the release. 

Is your terminal running WTOS or W10 IoT?

I have tested it with the latest version of Workspace-App 2009.5, but it still did not work! In the release notes you can find that "The Citrix Workspace app installer is now packaged with the Microsoft Teams ringtones." But what do the packed ringtones help me, if the headphones still don't ring. And "Secondary-Ringer" option is still not available. We still have to provide users with a mobile device, just to have a "ringer"!!!!

Try this install on the endpoint device HDX_RealTime_Media_Engine and in the virtual machine HDX_RealTime_Connector. Check also this policy: https://docs.citrix.com/en-us/citrix-virtual-apps-desktops/secure/virtual-channel-security.html

 

We have create this policy and set the setting to disabled so we allow all virtual channels. After this we are able to transfer the ring tone to the jabra unit on our desk

2203 CWA for Windows LTSR has an Early Access Release,

We introduced support for Secondary Ringtone in that release.

There is a pending update in Teams that needs to happen for the feature to work.

At least you can plan ahead now and try to adopt the upcoming 2203 release while Microsoft finalizes the Teams update.

The Teams update will not require a new Teams MSI version, it will be a silent update after a log off/log on.
