Citrix CVAD 1912 and latest release of Zoom - users can't see own video output

Zoom have recently released a new version of their VDI client that has some encryption changes see https://zoom.us/docs/en-us/zoom-v5-0.html. There is also a corresponding update to the endpoint plugin.


Since this new release, we find that users cannot see their own video during a Zoom call. Other participants can see their video output fine; they just can't see their own image. Zoom detects the camera fine, as does Workspace, HDX etc. They just get a black screen where their own video should be.


We have no had any success troubleshooting this with Zoom support. Has anyone experienced this?


Environment is Citrix Virtual Desktop 1912 on Server 2016. Endpoints are mainly using Workspace 1912.
