Alert for unauthorized login failure to NetScaler gateway Virtual server.

Recommended Posts

Hi All,

Hope you are doing good.

I have a requirement, where i would like to get email notification if any user authentication gets fail while accessing Netscaler gateway (application hosted on NS, using NSG).

I have enable AppFlow for a virtual server in Citrix ADM and also enable AppFlow authentication, authorization, and auditing user name logging on a Citrix Gateway appliance.

When i went to Gateway Insight reports then i am not seeing any data. Same has been attached. Please help me in getting data or any alternative way through which i can get an email notification of authorized user who is accessing an application hosted on NetScaler gateway.

Regards,

ShekharS

Hi Shekhar,

I am not sure if you can do via ADM but I had similar requirement for one of my customer. They want get email alerts if user authentication failed when trying to login gateway. They have email alert setup which is only alert if user login via gateway. I had done this on window OS.

What type of authentication are you using LDAPS, SAML, Radius or anything else ?

Let me now if you want me share.

Thanks

Manoj

Hi Shekhars,

My customer had an ADFS servers so I enabled the Smart Lockout feature on ADFS servers and target the bad password event log on the ADFS server,

Please check out here for more details about Smart Lockout feature. Please also check this as well.

I am sure you will get so many articles about ADFS Smart Lockout on google.

Thanks

Manoj

hi Manoj,

Good morning. Thanks for replying

This seems to be some setting at ADFS end. I was looking for some changes at NetScaler gateway or ADM.

shekhars
