I am not sure if you can do this from Citrix. But you can try .bat or . vbs file and publish the Visual Basic script/CMD as an “Application

start /min "" "C:\path of your application"

set s = createobject("WScript.Shell")
s.run "path of your application", 2

Publish the Visual Basic script/CMD as an “Application > Accessed from a server > installed application” with the following settings:
Command line: %windir%\system32\wscript.exe \\networkshare\script.vbs (replace this address according to your environment and to your script filename.)
Working directory: %windir%\system32\

James , It is a pretty unique request from one of the users. We slightly modified Storefront to allow users launch all the applications in their favorites by the click of a button.

In some cases, between 8 to 10 applications are launched in sequence and all appear on the screen when the launch all favorites button is selected. The user might only need 2 or 3 of the applications for the majority of the day but requires the remaining apps running in the background as they tend to use it once or twice during the day.

Removing the apps from favorites is not an option as they need it running in the background.

a theory only - but you could maybe use WEM (if available to you) to launch this particular application and have it run minimized? It would mean setting the application to auto start as part of WEM. If not WEM, maybe a simply logon script that executes that application as part of the logon rather than Citrix publishing the app?
