Duplicate Desktop Shortcuts - 1912 LTSR

Stan Svetec

Question

Hi,

I have my 1912 environment running well.  This includes having Workspace App 1912 installed to present published apps into the published desktop.  Adding shortcuts to the Start Menu and the Desktop work well.

However...

If for whatever reason a session needs to double-hop to another session host, I notice that the desktop shortcuts will double up and duplicate.  Consider:

User logs into Server 1.  Desktop shortcuts for App1, App2 and App3 are created.

A user from Server 1 double-hops to Server 2.  Desktop shotcuts for App1, App2 and App3 remain, but then App1 (1), App2 (2) and App3 (3) are added.

A user from Server 1 double-hops to Server 3 (still having the Server 2 session active), then the desktop shortcuts are duplicated again.

I don't see this happening with the Start Menu.

Has anyone seen this before?

Regards

I have the same issue, the registry key looks like its for roaming desktops. My users are using Workspace 1912.2 on Windows 20H2, non-domain joined desktops.

Did you ever find a fix, just opened a case with support.

Just curious, do you also have OneDrive desktop enabled and synching?
