Separate SNIP for DNS servers

We recently purchased Citrix Gateway and after adding our DNS servers, the effective state of all three is labeled as down, although I can ping them from the NSIP and SNIP.

These DNS servers are in a subnet that I do not manage, however. The SNIP for Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops is in X.Y.80.0/24, the NSIP is in X.Y.5.0/24, and the DNS servers are in X.Y.20.0/24.

My question is, are these name servers effectively down because there isn’t a SNIP in X.Y.20.0/24? If so, is there a way to use the existing SNIP for DNS queries and monitoring?

Thanks in advance for any insight.

If the ADC doesn't have a SNIP int the DNS network (x.y.20.0/24) and you want them to use an existing SNIP in the x.y.80.0/24 (or other subnet), define a route such as:

add route x.y.20.0 255.255.255.0 x.y.80.1  (Or whatever the x.y.80.z network's gateway is).

This will allow the ADC to use the existing SNIP to reach the 80-network and also use that snip to reach the 20-network via the 80-network.
