Webcam redirection XenDesktop

Harald Houmlrtenhuemer

Question

Hi,

I know there are a few topics on this but unfortunately no one helped me.

To my environment: I´m working with Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops - DDC Version 7.15 CU5. Workspace version is 1810, I also tried workspace version 1910 and VDA version 7.17.

My policies in studio looks like this - like I have read on some articles this should be OK to allow webcam redirection when I open a citrix session from a notebook.

Unfortunately, I can´t see the any webcam in the devices tab - so it´s not redirected to the citrix desktop.
Can someone see a mistake in my policies?

Harald,

try adjusting the corresponding Citrix Policy in Citrix Studio, i.e. "Client USB device redirection rules", and set it to "ALLOW: #"

As described here: https://support.citrix.com/article/CTX119722

"The following are the default policy configuration:
DENY: class=09 # Hub devices
DENY: class=03 subclass=01 # HID Boot device (keyboards and mice)
DENY: class=0b # Smartcard
DENY: class=e0 # Wireless Controllers
DENY: class=02 # Communications and CDC Control
DENY: class=0a # CDC Data
ALLOW: # Ultimate fallback: allow everything else"

Hi Alex,

Any further advice?

Harald
