8.1 Installation failing due to no network?

Ben Yarwood

I'm trying to install Citrix Hypervisor  8.1 but it's hanging at 2%.

If I switch consoles I can see the latest entry is "YUM: Downloading packages" however the server does not respond to ping.

Checking "ip addr" shows the interface as UP but no IP address is assigned to it.

If I edit ifcfg-eth0 manually and set the IP details, it starts responding to ping, however the installation / YUM downloading package does not proceed.

I have tried a Linux live CD and have no issues with network connectivity.

Supermicro X11SSL-F

Intel Xeon E3 1230v6

48GB Kingston DDR4 RAM

Adaptec 8405-E

4x Samsung 1TB 860 Evo

Furthermore, I've just restarted the installer, this time setting the IP details in /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0 to provide a network connection and then proceeded with the GUI steps, it still gets stuck at 2% and "Downloading Packages" on Console 3.
