Windows Updates breaking Workspace????

We have something weird happening with our Windows 10 PCs.  This is not happening on any of our thin client devices or PCs running Windows versions older than Windows 10.  Last month, the couple days after patch Tuesday, we had a string of calls from users about Workspace not working correctly - we use 1909 and 1911.  When they go to launch their Citrix session they just see the Workspace window with the computer, spinning wheel, and it says connecting.  It never connects.  We found 2 things that resolve this.  Delete HKCU\Software\Citrix registry key on the client and reinstall Workspace.  Or delete the user's local profile from the client.  This was quiet for the rest of the month until this morning.  We received a few calls again and found out the computers with the issue had run updates last night.  Anyone else seeing stuff like this or have any idea why this might be happening??

We are seeing these errors in the event logs of the machines with the issue.

We are having the same issue with a slightly different twist: we're rolling out Win10 1909 using the Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT), and installing Workspace App 19.11.0.50 as an application during the final stages of the deployment task sequence. We're seeing the same issue shortly after the app gets installed, the Workspace windows starts up, spins forever & never connects. We also see it fire up when applying Windows Updates after the build process. Lastly it does the same thing when the user connects to our Citrix environment. The Workspace window appears, spins forever, but does connect in a separate window.
