Citrix Disk Resizing PVS Server

Veera Ragavan

Hi Experts,

With Windows Server 2008, Running short of Disk Space with Home Drive and Trying to Extend using Disk Part.

With the VHDX File, the Windows Server 2008 R2 is giving an error "Disk part error: The file or directory is corrupt and unreadable"

To Resolve this,

1. We had tried with SFC Scan, Check disk (Observed, few times it got worked for lucky people)

2. Tried with DiskPart Command without any mistakes *Not missing, characters*

The next good part, We tried to use the .VHDX File, along with its supporting file (Other 2 files --> with Extenstion: lok, pvp) by trying it on WS2012, WS2016..

But, it is not showing up the Volume of the Attached Disk..:(

Do you have any suggestions for us Please.

Thank you for your time and reply on this. If you look at our screenshot, We have tried the method..

With the .VHD File, We tried to extend the volume using Disk part with WS2008, which did not worked as the Imported Disk is not getting recognized.

With the .VHD file, We tried to Extend the Volume using Disk Part with WS2012, WS2016, Which did not worked for us, as the Import is getting done, but the List Volume command does not show any of the details about the Disk (Which needed to be extend with Size)

Since this Citrix Based Servers, the Only Option to use the Disk Part Lay out to Extend the Volume. WS2012, WS2016 has have higher capacity of handling the VHD Disk Resizing scenarios, We tried both..

Any Added Inputs, Makes comfortable. Please support.
