Citrix ADM lack of space to upgrade

Recommended Posts

I had no problems upgrading CitriX ADM pair to 13..0

However i cant Manuel upgrade the Citrix ADM disaster recovery node due to lack of space

bash-3.2# df -h
Filesystem     Size    Used   Avail Capacity  Mounted on
/dev/md0       445M    366M     70M    84%    /
devfs          1.0k    1.0k      0B   100%    /dev
procfs         4.0k    4.0k      0B   100%    /proc
fdescfs        1.0k    1.0k      0B   100%    /dev/fd
/dev/da0s1a    1.6G    510k    1.4G     0%    /flash
/dev/da0s1e    110G    102G   -293M   100%    /var

i check all directories to delete and i still dont have enough space.

Since this is a VM.Can i just increase the default 120GB HD and restart the VM ?

Is that possible?

Only article i see is related to adding a 2nd disk

This is a question asked quite frequently.

You may free up space by deleting all files and directories from /var/nsintall but installns_state. These are old Citrix ADC images, they are not needed at all.

Delete everything from /var/core and /var/dump. These are crash dumps, you won't miss them.

This usually frees up a lot of space. There are logs in /var/log. You might delete *.gz, but this would remove all old logs. I would try to avoid deleting *.gz from /var/nslog, as these are preformance metrics.

Hope that helps!
