AVG/Avast CloudCare Antivirus with client drive mapping (usb storage) leads to BSOD

volkmann Volkmann

Hey guys,

I was wondering I someone is using AVG Antivirus with mapped client drives like USB drive.

We have several customers with this deployment and almost all of them get a BSOD on the VDA if just only one user is accessing client usb storage!

We fought with this problem for a long time until we could proof that AVG is responsible for the crashes.

Today we had a customer with ESET Antivirus, File Security 7.1... that just blocked outlook attachments from these client drive but not leading to BSOD. On Eset site we found the realtime setting "network drive" to be responsible for this behavior. Just deacitating it solved this!!!

Heard from a kaspersky customer, that he get's stucked user sessions on linux thin clients...
