Windows disk Write-Cache (not PVS Write cache)

Derek Benak

I am trying to improve capacity and stability on a new Windows 2016 PVS streamed image and I have a question

In Disk Management, the properties of the SCSI disk has an option under policies for Write-Caching. The policies are

1) Enable write-caching on the device

2) Turn off Windows write cache buffer flushing on the device.

For the disk that corresponds to the image I cannot find any guidance for this setting. Should it be enabled or disabled? Does it make any difference?

I am currently running Windows Server 2016 and PVS 1909 in a published desktop scenario. For PVS I already have Cache in device ram with overflow to disk.
