Analyse Performance-Probleme (Latency, ICA RTT)

we're using Citrix VDI to bind external employees to our environment. Currently we're having problems with latency. Users annotating, that mouse-movements and in general the latency is quite bad.

Therefore I'd like to ask, if there is a good way, how to analyse this problem and set up a monitoring (incl. history stats).


We already recognized, that the ICA RTT values are getting quite high (>500ms) + Available bandwith getting low (< 4Mbps) using the tool "Citrix Connection Quality Indicator".


Is this the best tool to for latency-monitoring and if yes, is there a way to collect all these informations?

Are your external users accessing their VDI sessions via a Citrix Gateway (NetScaler Gateway)? If so what platform licence is assigned to the Citrix ADC?


If you have an Advanced or Premium licence you could setup Citrix ADM and utilise HDX Insight (https://docs.citrix.com/en-us/citrix-application-delivery-management-service/analytics/hdx-insight.html). Check the section Identifying the root cause of slow performance issues.
