How to install 'xe' app on CentOS 7.x?

When you install XenServer xe and everything you need is contained within that install.

From XenServer with the host selected you should be able to log into the console and

run xe commands. You should also be able to SSH to the XenServer management agent

and run those as well. A third option is installing XenCenter on a windows computer 

and there is an xe.exe there as well you can connect to a XenServer and remotely run

commands.

Applying hotfix options varies depending on whether you have a paid-for version or not. WIth a pai-dofr version, you can do most of it just from XenCenter. Without you will have to manually upload hptfixes and apply them using xe. As Alan states above, xe is built into XenServer/Citrix Hypervisor; you just need to have access to the CLI.
