set computername and ip from powershell cli

Gonzalo Lopez

Hi we have Xen Hypervisor 8 and are trying to automate some things. In the past we had vmware, and had a feature called configuration specification. With it, we can change the computername (set same as virtual machine) and ip of a given VM (and domain join) from command line.

But I am having trouble in doing this with the xen api and powershell.

We have a windows server template with tools installed, so when i provision it, I get a fresh windows VM with management tools. I can change the ip with some lines, but I can not change hostname, or things like this.

Is there any thing to do???
