Adding GPU to existing XenApp environment

Bill Clark1709159029

We are currently running XenApp 7.15 LTSR and using it to publish shared Windows Server 2012R2 desktops to users.  Each published XenApp desktop has 8 cores and 28GB of RAM and usually has 14-15 users on it at one time.  We see some screen lag at times and high CPU usage and in troubleshooting we came across references to using GPUs in the host machines, and allocating some vGPUs to the guests.  Some of the claims are up to a 60% reduction in CPU usage, lower RAM usage, curing cancer and other niceties.  Since these are a bit pricey to just test with, I'm looking to see if anyone has actually gone from a base environment kind of like ours and added server GPUs and what their experience was in the real-world.  We are exploring this as a possible option, or simply adding more published XenApps to lessen the number of users per XenApp.
