Change PVS services to run under service account

SIMION BRAD

Question

Hello

I have a PVS farm and all 3 servers run under Network Service account. Now we want to change to a normal service account to be able to enable KMS on vDisks. But I don't know if I need to shutdown all the targets when I run the wizard.

Also if I want to restore back the database in case something goes bad, do I need to shut down the targets ? Can the database can be restored on top and then just restart the PVS services ?

Thanks,

Simion

Run the Citrix Provisioning Configuration Wizard on each server. Click Next a bunch of times until you get to the service account screen. Then Next until the end and it will restart the services. Your account will need SQL permissions so the wizard can grant SQL permissions to the service account.

If your vDisks are properly configured for load balancing then running the wizard on one server is no different than restarting one server and shouldn't drop anything.
