PVS and Win10 1809

Shane Paul

Question

I'm using PVS 7.15 LTSR CU5 trying to convert a Win10 1809 VM built in VMware 6.7 to a vDisk. All I've done is install the PVS Target Device Software, set the VM to boot to network so it can PXe boot which works fine. PVS has the target device with the private mode vDisk attached and set to boot to hard disk so I can create the original vDisk from the VM's hard drive. The PXe boot happens successfully and I get to the Win10 login screen, then it blue screens with Kernel Security Check Failure shown in the attached pic and continues in that cycle until I choose to boot to hard disk again in the BIOS at which time it boots fine.

Has anyone seen this behavior? Only does this after vDisk is attached even though I'm still booting to the hard drive. It's not liking the new hardware I guess, but haven't found anything on this specific error yet. I have removed the SATA Controller from the mix, so that's not the issue.

Appreciate any help.

Thanks!
