IPade device Published application launch error

We are using XD7.15 LTSR CU2 version on our environment. When user launches Published application (IE) from Ipad device, they are getting error like " Could not logon. Cannot start the app. Please contact your helpdesk". At the same time, they are able to launch published desktop from IPad device. They are using latest Citrix receiver on their device. Most of the time, they are getting this error when they connect citrix from external network. Can someone please advise on this issue?
