VM migration strange problem

Ashiq Rahman

When we are migrating VM (XenCenter 8, with XenServer 8 pools) via XenCenter, the migration runs smoothly. But after the first migration is initiated (which completes successfully), when we try to migrate another VM, the "Next" button on the "Migrate VM" pop-up remains disabled (despite selecting a destination Host within the same Pool, or in a different Pool). Please see the attached screenshot. If we restart XenCenter, we can then see the 'Next' button enabled again. So we are having to migrate one VM at a time and then restart XenCenter to be able to migrate the next VM. Any insights on what could have gone wrong will be highly appreciated.

XenTools is properly installed on all VMs? You hosts all have times properly synchronized to NTP? WHat if you try this from the command line interface, which will sometimes show you more meaningful error messages?

Thanks Tobias. NTP and time is synchronized. VMs have XenTools installed, but some of them could be from 7.2.

It's a known issue ,refer xencenter section :https://docs.citrix.com/en-us/citrix-hypervisor/whats-new/known-issues.html .

Thanks. Do you happen to know what causes it (or any way to bypass this problem)? This is a huge pain to have to restart XenCenter after every VM migration. We are in the process of moving from the free to the paid editions and hoped that the experience would be better :)
