One Drive - GPO Lock down, not allowing access from quick access

Campbell Kay

Question

Hi Guys,

we are looking at enabling one drive for our users.

currently running windows server 2016 VDA with FSlogix for Office 365.

we have a policy in place to restrict access to C: Drive.

we enable one drive and it creates a shortcut in the quick access bar, which when users try to access, it just gets blocked with the restricted GPO.

has anyone worked out away around this, ideally i dont want to allow users access to my C: Drive, they can just right click on a shortcut and go open file location, which allows them access directly to C:.

Then i do wonder, does this really matter, the server gets recreated with MCS everyday...

any thoughts?
