Single FQDN certificate for Xendesktop general practice?

johnegn

Question

Hi,

I read the Citrix article is support single FQDN SAN certificate for Citrix NetScaler and Store front for Internal or public interface binding.

or I should change the beacon point to another internal FQDN?

Or 3 SAN certificate is general pratice?

Two-node server group example SANs

storefront.example.com (mandatory)

storefrontcb.example.com (mandatory)

accounts.example.com (mandatory)

what is the different services in between 3 SAN?

Thanks.

Receiver/Workspace needs an Internal Beacon URL that is only reachable internally (not externally). Your single FQDN works both internal and external so you can't use it for the Internal Beacon. The certificate has a separate SAN Name for an Internal Beacon that resolves to StoreFront but only when the device is internal (not external). Or you can use any internal website that never goes down (if down, the Receiver/Workspace can't connect).
