Netscaler 12.0 - RDP-Proxy with Backend "WindowsServer2012r2-RD-Sessionhost"

Hello,

via our Netscaler gateway-vserver, we get the rdp-proxy-function working with a TS unter Windows Server 2008r2 (via Bookmark).

We would like to replace the backend with a new operating system (RDS-Host under WS2012r2 or WS2016). We only have ONE single RD-Sessionhost. The connectionbroker-role is automatically installed, when you activate the RD-Sessionhost-Role.

With the identically profile- an policy-structure of that rdp-proxy-environment in Netscaler, we don't get it running under WS2012r2.

The error message after starting the connection: "Your computer can't connect to the remote computer because the Connection Broker couldn't validate the settings specified in your RDP file"

Is this function is fundamentally unsupported? I know, that there were problems concerning RDS-Farm, RDS-Collections with Connection-Broker. But in my case, it's just one single RD-Sessionhost as mentioned earlier.

Thanks in advance

Hi,

that's not correct. You have to disable the Connection Broker Role on your RD-Session Host, than your RDP Proxy will work from your NetScaler to your 2012 / 2016 OS.

Best Regards

Julian
