VDA7.15CU4 logon hangs at welcome screen when session has not been closed correctly before

Hi all,

Here is our environment :

-         VDA 7.15CU4 on WindowsServer 2016 x64

-         VDA Servers generate via MCS

-         Users profiles are saved on a shared folder

Here is our issue : if user session is closed by switching off the device (thinOs or computer with workspaceapp or Android device or iOs device), then by reopening the same user session on the same device or on another device, the logon session hangs at welcome screen during more than 5 minutes.

During this time, it is impossible to open an admin session of the VDA because we got the same behavior that the user, it hangs at welcome screen.

If we have opened the admin session on VDA before starting the test, and try to close it, we got the window screen that said that « WFShellWindow » is still running.

Tests done:

-         With antivirus uninstall on VDA => that does not solve

-         Then with lingering set to close immediatly => that does not solve

-         Then with all our GPOs (computer and user) desactivated, except loopback in « replace » mode + gpupdate /force on the VDA server => OK that solves the issue. Logon take 4 seconds

-         If we reactive only one of our « user » GPO, regardless of its action (reg key add, shorcut put on desktop, network mappage, printer…) => logon hangs at welcome screen during about 30seconds

On our actual Citrix prod environment (XenApp 6.5, WS 2008R2), when shuting down a wyse (without close the user session before), and trying to reopen the same user session, it goes without any problem and we notice that the desktop is immediatly opened without displaying the welcome screen at all.

Ticket to Citrix support is created by with no answer for now....

Any help or idea is very welcome !
