I assume this is on a per delivery group basis. It won't affect the rest of the delivery groups.

I was looking through the settings of the delivery groups and came across this Access Policy.

Does the Access Policy work in giving me what is required?

Hi James,

I managed to lock down the access via IP address but not hostname.

I tried with hostname / hostname.domain.com etc but it does not work.

Could you please shed some light?

regards,

Alex

did you enable the filter rule?

Set-BrokerAccessPolicyRule -Name "DG Name" -IncludedClientNameFilterEnabled $true -IncludedClientNames hostname1

I follow your instructions and it's the same result.

Is there something else that needs to be configured?

hmmm I am not sure why that wouldn't be working - the only thing I can think is that the client name isn't being passed appropriately? What sort of endpoint are you coming from?

Endpoint is a windows machine.

Anyway to get around this, I have used IP Address and it's working.

Thanks.
