Question

Hello,

Im an IT konsultant at Troms Fylkeskommune inn Norway. I was hopeing i could ask you a question about Citrix Xenapp/Citrix XenDesktop.

We are two county councils that are looking to merge togheter. We have one datacenter at each location (a total of two). We only have one domain. We have some applications that needs to be in a Secure Zone. The way we do this today is by haveing two separate farms, one "Safety Farm" and one "Internal Farm".

My questions are:

- Whats the best way to separate "Internal" and "Secure Zone"? Is there a better way then
having two seperate farms? Can you seperate them by using zones?
- I've heard people talk about StoreFront aggregation, but im not sure if thats the best way?

Best regards,
Rudi

That's probably a larger question than can be answered here, to be honest, there are a lot of factors at play...

Some like Zone architectures, some like site (Farm). I like both depending on customer requirements and situations

StoreFront aggregation refers to presenting resources from two different sites (or farms) into a single pane of glass, as well as directing user sessions to certain farms based on a set of conditions (group memberships, zones etc)
