Mapped network drives not being redirected

Sir A

We are running 2012R2 servers with XenApp 7.15 CU4. Desktops have been published.

We are experiencing the following problem (I'm unsure when this problem started, but the clients say that this was working fine a few months back),

When users connect to the published desktop, they can view and browse their mapped network drives just fine. But when they from that published desktop connect to published applications on a different Citrix XenApp site, local disks are redirected but the mapped network drives are not redirected.

If the same users log on a Windows 10 PC, and connect to the same published applications (using the same Citrix Receiver version and Receiver settings), their mapped network drives are redirected just fine.

This shows that File Redirection policy settings are correctly configured on the citrix site where those published applications reside.

Has anyone else experienced the same problem?

The setting for NativeDriveMapping in both the registry and the module.ini file were FALSE on both the Win10 PC and the Hosted shared Desktop.

Which is why I did not try to change that setting on the Hosted Shared Desktop earlier. I tried to change it to TRUE now in the registry, and it actually worked. :)

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Citrix\ICA Client\Engine\Configuration\Advanced\Modules\ClientDrive\NativeDriveMapping = TRUE

lol that setting makes my brain hurt - it can do some funny things

Can you please elaborate on what sort of funny things you have experienced with that setting?

Since the setting is related to Drive maps only, I'm assuming it will not cause problems with anything else?
