2 stage auth using different domain creds via gateway to get to storefront

Recommended Posts

I have a bit of a curly request and wondering if this is possible.

Question: is it possible to authenticate into storefront using two sets of (different) domain credentials i.e. first against domainA then against domainB to get to domainB storefront.

Example flow for this scenario:

User logs in using domainA.com (Azure MFA) credentials and is then taken to second login page where they need to login using domainB credentials to get to domainB.com storefront.

All users have credentials for both domainA.com (MFA) and domainB.com (no MFA). MFA is only configured for domainA.com and domainB cannot be configured for MFA. MFA is a requirement to get to domainB.com.

Both domainA and domainB have NS and StoreFront already configured.

I hope the above makes sense.

On Gateway, edit Session Profile, and uncheck box for Single Sign-on to Web Applications.

On StoreFront, try https://docs.citrix.com/en-us/storefront/current-release/integrate-with-citrix-gateway-and-citrix-adc.html#configure-storefront-log-on-when-authentication-is-disabled-on-citrix-gateway-vip . This should cause StoreFront to prompt for second credentials.

The solution works - Thanks Carl.

Do you know if it is possible to do something similar with Horizon?

I am investigating two different approaches at the moment:

1. Configure SAML on the connection server using domainA (AzureMFA) and try to pass back attribute (username on domainB).

2. Use netscaler to present/proxy horizon (PCOIP). Thinking of trying nFactor for this - 1st factor would be Radius (NPS) against domain A (AzureMFA) and 2nd factor would be domainB credentials (LDAP).

Thoughts?
