Hi all

I have a question, please help me.

If I config max client . But If current client connection > Max client .>>> Does the virtual server server down ?

Becausse I read citrix document  I see "You can specify a maximum number of client connections that each load balanced server can handle. The NetScaler appliance then opens client connections to a server only until this limit is reached. When the load balanced server reaches its limit, monitor probes are skipped, and the server is not used for load balancing until it has finished processing existing connections and frees up capacity. "

Please , Thanks all

If i config Traffic Rate Limit Identifier , I not see config  Limit Identifier for current connection , I only " threshold.  A maximum number of requests that are allowed in the given timeslice when requests (mode is set as REQUEST_RATE) are tracked per timeslice.  When connections (mode is set as CONNECTION) are tracked, it is the total number of connections that would be let through. Default value: 1 Minimum value: 1      Maximum Value: 4294967295 "

>>>> What different between current client connection /maximum number of requests "

the default for max clients (current client connections) is 0. That means there is no threshold.

max clients limits how many current client connections can be active at the same time. Anything above the threshold you set is put in surge queue.

max requests limits for example how many http requests  are served by one connection. (a conection is one tcp sessions , and request is an http request going on teht tcp connection)
