Citrix Ingress Controller and VPX with Traffic Domains supported?

Recommended Posts

Is a VPX-HA Pair with Public IPs in one Traffic Domain and the Backend-Services (k8s) in another Traffic Domain a supported deployment. We want to try Citrix Ingress Controller for K8s with VPX for North-South-Traffic in a Tier 1 deployment scenario. Traffic Domains are not mentioned in the Citrix Ingress Controller Documentation.

Hi @Michael Schmitt

Hi Michael,

Citrix Ingress Controller supports configuring admin partitions where ingress controller will configure a specific partition.

Please go through below link and let us know if there is any specific questions.

Hi Ankit,

yes I know about support for Admin-Partitions. But in our Environment we are using different Traffic-Domains for Frontend (Content-Switching, Loadbalancing) and Backend (Servicegroups). Each Traffic Domain is using a different set of routes. So for configuring Entities like Servicegroups or Virtual Servers wie have to configure the Traffic-Domain Parameter. And this is my question if CIC can configure this Traffic-Domain Paraemter.

Hi Michael,

We have smart annotations to configure CS/LB/Servicegroup parameters.I suppose we can use it. Please refer below link

https://github.com/citrix/citrix-k8s-ingress-controller/blob/master/docs/configure/annotations.md#smart-annotations

Also can you please let me know your ingress configuration and the required parameters you want to configure.
