The OS is Server 2016 1607 - build 14393.3085

PVS 1906.1

VDA 1906.1

VM Tools

Applyering 1905

this is running on VMwware 6.7 update 2

has anyone else come across this?

thanks

HI,

Had recently this issue, without AppLayering, but Windows Server 2016 1607 November 2019 updates, PVS 7.15 CU4 -> BSOD "\windows\system32\drivers\netvsc.sys 0xc0000428, Info: Windows cannot verify the digital signature for this file".

Booting using "Disable driver signature enforcement" worked

Checked the netvsc.sys's date (mine dated early february 2019 whereas Microsoft release / update this driver regularly) -> Lots of RDS issues on Azure / RDS about this driver.

Solution : Run sfc / scannow (Newer files, including netvsc.sys will be updated, and thus, trusted)

This still works FYI - Nice tip :-)
