How to get a cpu usage summarry for a pool?

Jan Rasche

Question

Hi Community,

We have this Memory Summary Tab in a pool. But how can we compile a CPU usage summary for a pool? For example, we would simply like to sum all the VCPs of alle VMs in a Pool.

Ist there any way to get this - maybe in the CLI?

Best, Jan

Hi Alan,

Thank you.

Did this one line to sum up the cpu usage as fast shot (the 48 is the control domain here - there may be a better way to exclude this ;-)).

for UUID in `xe vm-list | grep uuid | awk '{print $NF}'`; do  xe vm-param-list uuid=${UUID} | grep VCPUs-max |  awk '{print $4}' | egrep -v '48'; done | awk '{SUM += $1} END {print SUM}'

Export Resource Data may need an enterprise license - we have only standard here - its grayed out.

But very interesting.

Best, Jan
