Getting Temporary Profile when enabling Elastic App Layers along with FSLogix user profile

Kent Bratt1709154576

Question

I am successfully deploying Layered Images along with fSLogix user profile containers.

When I enable elastic App Layers in the Image  (Not User Layers), my FSLogix profile seems to break.

When I logon I get an error that I have been logged on with a temporary profile and I should logoff. When I look at the FSLogix logs, it shows "This profile is marked as a temporary profile"

If I disable the elastic app layer, it works again without issues.

Is anyone else trying, or seeing this?

EDIT

Just found this, so trying it out now. https://support.fslogix.com/index.php/component/fss/?view=kb&catid=7&kbartid=92 https://discussions.citrix.com/topic/394715-elastic-layers-and-profile-issues/?page=4#comment-2038068

The altitude setting fixes Elastic layers + FSLogix

Edit HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\frxdrvvt\Instances\frxdrvvt\Altitude

Set the value to 138010 (Note: do not set this to any other value. Spurious results make occur. This value has been assigned to FSLogix by Microsoft)

Then reboot

There is a thread from a few months back discussing this topic and on the last page someone mentioned FSLogix and a fix for the issue:

I was just looking at that post also and editing my question, missed it in my initial searching.

Going to test that out now.
