Auto-reconnection or Connect button not working in Storefront

Using Storefront 3.16. Auto-reconnect or Connect button is not working going directly to Storefront server even though web.config indicates that it should:

          <workspaceControl enabled="true" autoReconnectAtLogon="true" logoffAction="terminate" showReconnectButton="true" showDisconnectButton="true" />

It will reconnect a disconnected session if the user clicks another icon.  Transitioning away from Web Interface where this worked flawlessly.  Any advice would be appreciated.

You might want to check out Carl's doc: https://www.carlstalhood.com/receiver-for-windows/

Search for Control when Citrix Workspace attempts to reconnect to existing sessions

I guess I failed to mention we're using Receiver for Web.  The wording of that GPO seems like it's for the full client?  I'm using IE 11, have set the page as Trusted Sites.

Is Connect and Disconnect button in Receiver for Web are visible?

If yes, what was behavior if you click Connect/Disconnect button? Is it working as expected?

If not, please try workaround stated in below article. Please check button’s functionality once it is visible.

Yes, the Connect/Disconnect buttons are visible.  The Disconnect and Logoff work as expected. The Connect button does absolutely nothing when I click on it.  I expect my computer to reconnect to the disconnected session without having to click anything (just by logging into the web interface).  I AM going through Access Gateway but I have tested direct as well and this also does not work. We are on 7.15 CU3 and Receiver is 4.9 LTSR CU6.  I have also tried Workspace App 1903.

What SessionReconnection behavior defined for the Delivery Group?

You can check using Get-Brokerentitlementpolicyrule PowerShell Command

https://developer-docs.citrix.com/projects/delivery-controller-sdk/en/7.16/Broker/Get-BrokerEntitlementPolicyRule/

If it was not set as DisconnectedOnly, please run below command and check the behaviour

asnp citrix*
Set-BrokerEntitlementPolicyRule <Delivery-Group-name> -SessionReconnection  DisconnectedOnly

You can go through below article for more details.

I'm hesitant to run a "set-" powershell command on my production environment without going through change control first.  Before I posted to this forum I did try to run that get- command however we are running 99% XenApp and it doesn't recognize the command when I put get-brokerentitlementpolicyrule core  ('core' being the name of our delivery group).  If I remove the name of the delivery group then it only returns results for a XenDesktop machine.

I should also mention that we are running Web Interface primarily now with the same environment.. this Storefront is in a pre-production phase to replace WI.  Web Interface works perfectly.  Reconnect button works, it auto-connects to sessions after the user signs in.. so I would be shocked if this was set to not reconnect at the delivery group layer.

I opened a support ticket with Citrix and they could reproduce my issue with Storefront 3.16 and said the problem went away with newer versions of Storefront.  Is there a reason not to upgrade to the latest version of Storefront when using XenApp 7.15 CU3 ?
