Citrix Cloud AD Integration

Stewart Worsley

Quick question.  Hope you can help\ advise.

If we were to follow this - https://docs.citrix.com/en-us/citrix-cloud/citrix-cloud-management/identity-access-management/connect-azure-ad.html

If the AD integration works and you are able to login to Citrix Cloud with AD credentials via ADFS, no issues.  If this failed for any reason would it automatically fall back to the Citrix Cloud named accounts?

Does the ‘Administrator accounts have their “mail” property configured in Azure AD’  need to have a proper email capable address configured.  This is not normally the standard that Admin accounts are mail enabled.

Any advice?

Hi Stewart,

If you enable Azure AD authentication then you would be able to use the "Login with my company credentials" option to access Citrix Cloud. You are still able to login using Citrix Cloud named accounts using the standard logon page as you are currently, so if you have named accounts configured then these will continue to work.

Administrators require the mail property as when added as a Citrix Cloud administrator they will receive an invitation email to activate their account by signing in. So the account needs an email address assigned in their synced AD account but does not necessarily need to be mail enabled.

Hope that helps,
