Enable Client USB Plug and Play device redirection for Desktop OS VDA after release 1808

Hello,

 

Citrix policy called "Client USB Plug and Play device redirection" is used for MTP/PTP device redirection. 

 

Some docs (like 7.15 LTSR and 7.18) says that this is an Server OS only functionality, howerver after 1808 release that afirmation dissapears in Citrix Docs.

 

May there is some way to enable MTP/PTP redirection on Desktop OS VDA in new releases?

 

I was not able to make it work

we have the same problem in our environment.

• Yes Client USB plug and play redirection is available on Server OS only.
• But after released of 1808, it doesn’t appear that option.
• You can raise a case with Citrix to get more details.

would this apply to situations where a user plugs a usb drive into their thin client and having it redirect to the desktop vda session?  meaning would this no longer work after 1808 or am i misunderstanding?

USB drives are working on Desktop VDA.

 

So no support for USB plug and play redirection on Desktop VDA at all?
