zombie/empty sessions in studio and director

Since moving over to a new Citrix 7.15 CU3 environment I have been seeing a lot of duplicate sessions showing up in director/studio but if I log into the server directly they don't have a login showing and no resources are allocated to them. Most of the time the sessions will clean up properly, but every now and then these non existent sessions will hang around in director until the server is rebooted. Manually logging the session off from the studio/director console will not clear it. From what I've found there is a powershell command that can clear the empty sessions from studio/director without requiring a reboot but that seems more like a band-aid than a fix. Does anyone else have similar issues on the latest CU?
