Using Azure AD to provide SSO to on prem virtual workloads

All Azure AD functions are configured. I am able to load the workspace app url (comoany.cloud.com) and am re-directed to the Microsoft azure logon page. Once Azure AD cred is passed the user is re-directed back to the Workspace app portal and resources are presented. So far so good. However, when the user selects a published workload - on prem Windows 10 VDI desktop - they are presented with a logon dialog to the windows 10 instance - no SSO or passthrough. Support says this is by design. Meaning Federation is not SSO. However, I understand that this may be accomplished if using on prem Netscaler and storefront. Has anyone been able to provide SSO to published on prem workloads when using Azure AD through workspace App?

One of our customers is looking for the same functionality, is there any update on when this will be available and what additional components will be required (if any) to make this work.

There is a public Tech Preview available for FAS integration with Citrix Cloud. You can raise a request with support to have it enabled for your OrgID. This requires the traditional FAS components (FAS Server(s), AD Certificate Services) but integrates with Workspace rather than StoreFront.
