Citrix Receiver upgrade to 4.12 from 4.8 / 4.9 ( Windows 10) - Socket error - 10051

Hi All,


We upgraded our Windows 10 machines from Receiver 4.8 or 4.9 to 4.12. The deployment was done through sccm and completed successfully.


Post upgrade random users are facing the below error when opening from store front.


, ERROR: The Citrix XenApp server you have selected is not accepting connections. (Socket Error 10051)


No noticeable errors in the installation logs. Unfortunately I cannot share the logs files due to environment security.


The following steps fixes the problem.

Uninstall HDX real time plugin

Run the receiver clean tool and kill all the Citrix process from the task manager and then reboot the machines once. ( skipping the reboot exhibits the same issue post reinstallation)

Reinstalling the Receiver version 4.12 manually

I wonder if any one else experienced this problem with the Receiver Version 4.12.
